Our flight departs this morning for Acapulco; once we arrive we
will be transferred to our ship to begin our cruising adventure
through the Panama Canal.
Monday, March 1 - Huatulco, Mexico - 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Here is indeed a place where recreation and ecology are in
perfect harmony. At the foot of the Sierra del Sur Mountains,
Huatulco is actually made up of nine distinct bays. The
turquoise waters are home to an abundance of sea life and
provide a delightful aquatic playground for visitors. On land,
only the number of beaches in the area outnumbers shopping and
dining establishments: thirty to be exact.
Tuesday, March 2 – Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala – 9:00 AM to
7:00 PM
Guatemala is located in the northernmost part of Central
America and is one of the largest countries in the region. It
boasts 37 volcanoes, a rich Mayan heritage, Lake Atitlan and one
of the best-preserved colonial cities in Antigua. This charming
port city is home to the beautiful, iridescent Quetzal bird,
which was once sacred to the Mayan civilization that once ruled
over this land.
Wednesday, March 3 – San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua – 12 Noon to
7:00 PM
Nicaragua is the largest Central American nation and has
stunning landscapes, vast cultural treasures, and an intriguing
history. Located on the Pacific coast of southern
Nicaragua, San Juan del Sur is a scenic fishing village. Its bay
possesses beautiful white sand beaches and ecological richness.
The nearby city of Granada is the oldest city in Central
America. It is founded on the shores of the “Great Lake” and has
become a thriving port and community set amid an astonishing
land
Thursday, March 4 - Puntarenas, Costa Rica - 8:00 AM to 8:00
PM
Located along the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, Puntarenas is a
great place to see native wildlife from scarlet macaws to the
alpha predator of Central America: the jaguar. Surfers from
around the world regard this region of Costa Rica as prime
surfing waters. As one of the country's leading fishing ports,
Puntarenas are the perfect place to enjoy fresh seafood,
including ceviche de corvine - bits of fresh fish marinated in
limejuice with onions, peppers and spices.

Saturday, March 6 - Panama Canal (Cruising) – 5:00 AM to 4:30
PM
It is said "The land of the divided, the world
united." It's hard to imagine a more fitting motto for what in
no uncertain terms irrevocably changed the Western Hemisphere
forever. For fifty miles the canal transects the exotic emerald
jungles of Panama and gives one an appreciation of what a
Herculean task it was to build this waterway before the advent
of computers and giant earthmovers.
Saturday, March 6 –Colon (Cristobal) Panama – 5:00 PM to 8:00
PM
A star among our fabulous Panama itineraries, the port of
Cristobal serves the cities of Colón and Panama City. It's a
popular stepping off point for travelers wishing to explore the
many sights and attractions both in the interior of Panama and
along the coast.
