Our Alaska vacation begins as we board our flight in Minneapolis for Alaska’s largest city, Anchorage. Upon arrival we’ll have a short orientation tour before checking into our hotel.

Tuesday, July 15
Denali, Alaska

Traveling north today our first stop will be to view the Spirit Houses at Eklutna. We continue through the fertile Matanuska Valley farm country and then stop at a Reindeer Farm and learn how they are raised in this area. We continue to the Iditarod Sled Dog Racing Headquarters in Wasilla and then after lunch on your own, we enjoy a stop at the Alaska Veterans War Memorial. After checking into our hotel a fun filled evening with dinner and entertainment awaits us as we arrive in Denali National Park to enjoy “Cabin Night.”
Continental breakfast and dinner are included.

Wednesday, July 16
Denali, Alaska

Early this morning we will be on our way for the Tundra Wildlife Tour in Denali National Park. Be sure to bring your camera and plenty of film for the photo opportunities that may lie ahead. In addition to the magnificent scenery, we’ll be on the lookout for Alaska’s big five: moose, grizzly bear, Dall sheep, caribou and wolf. We return to our hotel late this afternoon.
Lunch is included.

Thursday, July 17
Fairbanks, Alaska

We depart Denali Park this morning and stop in Nenana, located at the confluence of the Nenana and Tanana rivers. We continue to Fairbanks where we enjoy a scrumptious lunch at a special restaurant. This afternoon we enjoy a cruise on the Riverboat Discovery on the Chena and Tanana rivers.
Lunch is included

Friday, July 18
Fairbanks, Alaska

Alaska’s Arctic is one of the last great wilderness regions on earth. Today’s Arctic Circle Adventure will be unlike previous travel you have encountered. Travel the rugged Dalton Highway and experience the mighty Yukon River, expansive landscapes and fascinating cultures unique to Alaska’s Arctic. We then cross the Arctic Circle and explore up close the amazing arctic tundra and feel the veins of ice just beneath the surface. Our return will be late evening.
Breakfast is included.

Saturday, July 19
Glennallen, Alaska

Departing Fairbanks this morning we stop at the North Pole to mail your postcards, shop, and have some photo opportunities. We continue to Rika’s Roadhouse in Big Delta State Park and also have a spectacular view of the pipeline suspended across the Tanana River. Our overnight is in Glennallen.
Breakfast is included.

Sunday, July 20
Valdez, Alaska

We enjoy a leisurely morning and depart for Valdez, with stops at the Worthington Glacier, Bridal Veil and Horse Tail falls, before arriving at our hotel. Known as the “Little Switzerland” of Alaska, Valdez is one of the most scenic areas in the state. Your afternoon is at leisure.

Monday, July 21
Valdez, Alaska

A full day of adventure begins as we board our charter boat and cruise Prince William Sound. Our boat stops at the Columbia and Meares glaciers, both tidewater caving glaciers. The amazing wildlife possibilities are limitless: whales, sea lions, puffins, seals, sea otters, eagles, bears and more! Our return to Valdez is in the early evening.
Continental breakfast and lunch are included.

Tuesday, July 22

This morning we journey back to Anchorage for our last day in the “Land of the Midnight Sun”. If time permits we’ll stop at a Alaska family owned fur factory. We enjoy a special “Farewell Dinner” this evening. Continental breakfast and dinner are included.
