Monday, July 14
Anchorage, Alaska
Our Alaska vacation begins as we board our flight in
Minneapolis for Alaska’s largest city, Anchorage. Upon
arrival we’ll have a short orientation tour before
checking into our hotel.
Tuesday, July 15
Denali, Alaska
Traveling north today our first stop will be to view the
Spirit Houses at Eklutna. We continue through the
fertile Matanuska Valley farm country and then stop at a
Reindeer Farm and learn how they are raised in this
area. We continue to the Iditarod Sled Dog Racing
Headquarters in Wasilla and then after lunch on your
own, we enjoy a stop at the Alaska Veterans War
Memorial. After checking into our hotel a fun filled
evening with dinner and entertainment awaits us as we
arrive in Denali National Park to enjoy “Cabin Night.”
Continental breakfast and dinner are included.
Wednesday, July 16
Denali, Alaska
Early this morning we will be on our way for the Tundra
Wildlife Tour in Denali National Park. Be sure to bring
your camera and plenty of film for the photo
opportunities that may lie ahead. In addition to the
magnificent scenery, we’ll be on the lookout for
Alaska’s big five: moose, grizzly bear, Dall sheep,
caribou and wolf. We return to our hotel late this
afternoon.

Thursday, July 17
Fairbanks, Alaska
We depart Denali Park this morning and stop in Nenana,
located at the confluence of the Nenana and Tanana
rivers. We continue to Fairbanks where we enjoy a
scrumptious lunch at a special restaurant. This
afternoon we enjoy a cruise on the Riverboat Discovery
on the Chena and Tanana rivers.

Friday, July 18
Fairbanks, Alaska
Alaska’s Arctic is one of the last great wilderness
regions on earth. Today’s Arctic Circle Adventure will
be unlike previous travel you have encountered. Travel
the rugged Dalton Highway and experience the mighty
Yukon River, expansive landscapes and fascinating
cultures unique to Alaska’s Arctic. We then cross the
Arctic Circle and explore up close the amazing arctic
tundra and feel the veins of ice just beneath the
surface. Our return will be late evening.

Saturday, July 19
Glennallen, Alaska
Departing Fairbanks this morning we stop at the North
Pole to mail your postcards, shop, and have some photo
opportunities. We continue to Rika’s Roadhouse in Big
Delta State Park and also have a spectacular view of the
pipeline suspended across the Tanana River. Our
overnight is in Glennallen.

Sunday, July 20
Valdez, Alaska
We enjoy a leisurely morning and depart for Valdez, with
stops at the Worthington Glacier, Bridal Veil and Horse
Tail falls, before arriving at our hotel. Known as the
“Little Switzerland” of Alaska, Valdez is one of the
most scenic areas in the state. Your afternoon is at
leisure.
Monday, July 21
Valdez, Alaska
A full day of adventure begins as we board our charter
boat and cruise Prince William Sound. Our boat stops at
the Columbia and Meares glaciers, both tidewater caving
glaciers. The amazing wildlife possibilities are
limitless: whales, sea lions, puffins, seals, sea
otters, eagles, bears and more! Our return to Valdez is
in the early evening.

Tuesday, July 22
Anchorage, Alaska
This morning we journey back to Anchorage for our last
day in the “Land of the Midnight Sun”. If time permits
we’ll stop at a Alaska family owned fur factory. We
enjoy a special “Farewell Dinner” this evening.
Continental breakfast and dinner are included.
Wednesday, July 23
Home
This morning we depart Anchorage for our return flight
home with wonderful memories of our Alaska Adventure
vacation.
