Anchorage
This morning we depart from the Minneapolis Airport on your
flight to Anchorage, the largest city of Alaska. Your evening is
free to walk around charming downtown Anchorage where you will
find a number of options for dinner.
Thursday, July 24
Denali Park
This morning we start our day off heading north through the
Chugach Mountains and the Matanuska Valley on board the Alaska
Railroad. Sit back and relax as you see some of the most
beautiful scenery unfold in front of your eyes in your reserved
dome car seat. Weather permitting you’ll get your first glimpse
of Mt. Denali. We arrive in Denali Park later this evening.

Friday, July 25
Denali Park
An early morning gets us on our way for the Tundra Wildlife Tour
in Denali National Park. You will have an opportunity to observe
the natural behavior of the grizzly, caribou, wolves, and red
fox as they wonder freely over the vast Tundra. This evening
enjoy a delightful evening of dinner and entertainment at the
Alaska Cabin Night dinner theater.

Saturday, July 26
Fairbanks
This morning enjoy the beautiful drive to Fairbanks. We stop at
the new University of Alaska Museum where you will learn about
native Alaskans and then will enjoy a delicious lunch at the
historic Pump House. This afternoon we take a relaxing ride down
the Chena River on board the Riverboat Discovery. Your evening
is at your leisure.

Sunday, July 27
Glennallen
This morning we will try our luck at the El Dorado Gold Mine.
The colorful characters that run this working mine are
entertaining and informative.
You’ll get a chance to try your hand at panning for gold. We
depart Fairbanks stopping at the North Pole and the Christmas
House. We’ll enjoy an early dinner stop at Rika’s Roadhouse
before arriving at our hotel in Glennallen.
Dinner is included.
Monday, July 28
Valdez
This morning we depart Glennallen and we’ll have magnificent
photo stops at the Worthington Glacier, Bridal Veil and Horse
Tail Falls, before arriving in Valdez. After our lunch you will
have this afternoon and evening free for you to explore and shop
in the port of Valdez.
Lunch is included.
Tuesday, July 29
Seward
Today we enjoy a 6 - 8 hour cruise on Prince William Sound. This
is a great chance for viewing wildlife such as puffins, bald
eagles, sea otters, sea lions, humpback and killer whales and
getting very close to the caving icebergs from the Columbia
Glaciers. Be sure to have your camera and binoculars along
today. and dress for cooler temperatures. We arrive in the port
of Whittier later this afternoon where our motor coach will be
waiting for us and then continue on the Kenai Peninsula to
Seward for our overnight.

Wednesday, July 30
Anchorage
The morning is at leisure and we have included admission to the
Sea Life Center where you can see puffins, seals, and sea lions
up close. We head north with a stop at the Alaska Wildlife
Conservation, home to many orphaned or injured wild animals. We
arrive later this afternoon in Anchorage. You will have time to
rest and refresh before we head out for our Farewell Dinner at
the Sourdough Mining Company.

Thursday, July 1
Home
With many incredible memories, we depart Anchorage on our return
flight to Minneapolis Airport and home.
