Sunday, July 11
Minneapolis Departure
Today we board our flight in Minneapolis for our transatlantic journey to Prague, Czech Republic, enjoying superior in flight meal service and entertainment en route.

Monday, July 12
Prague, Czech Republic
Upon arrival we will be met by our local guide and transferred to our hotel. Tonight we enjoy a Welcome Dinner with folklore entertainment.
Dinner is included.


Tuesday, July 13
Prague, Czech Republic
Today we will enjoy a full day of sightseeing in Prague including the Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Royal Palace, the Golden Lane, the Castle Gardens, “Lesser Town” and the Charles Bridge. After lunch on your own we continue to the Old Town Square with the famous Old Town House and the Astronomical Clock.
Breakfast and dinner are included.

Wednesday, July 14
Brno, Czech Republic
After breakfast we depart for Brno, the 2nd largest city in the Czech Republic. On the way we stop at the picturesque town of Telc and visit the Telc Castle. We will enjoy a walking tour of old town Brno before enjoying dinner at our hotel.
Breakfast and dinner are included.


Thursday, July 15
Krakow, Poland
After breakfast a morning drive will take us to Poland. Our first stop will be at the Concentration Camp in Auschwitz for a guided visit. We continue to Wadowice, the native town of John Paul II. We arrive in Krakow in late afternoon. We will enjoy dinner this evening at the hotel.

Friday, July 16
Krakow, Poland
We will enjoy a walking tour this morning of the Royal City, featuring the Main Market Square, the Cloth Hall, St. Mary’s Basilica with Stwosz Altar, Wawel Hill with the Royal Castle and the Cathedral. You are on your own for lunch and the rest of the afternoon is at leisure for you to explore Krakow. Dinner this evening is included at the hotel.

Saturday, July 17

Trstena, Slovakia

This morning we drive through the picturesque country side of Poland to the famous recreation resort town of Zakopane.  We’ll enjoy sightseeing in this town via the motor coach and then visit the marketplace of Zakopane, with a great choice of typical hand made products from sheep’s wool, leather goods, hand carved wooden products, etc.  This afternoon we take a scenic drive through the Tetra Mountains to Trstena, a small town on the Polish/Slovak border.  We will visit the quaint village of Tvrdosin where we will be the guests of a typical Slovak family with local foods, drinks and hospitality.  We will visit the 15th century gothic wooden church with  altar paintings from the same period and the All Saints altar.  We return to Trstena to check-in to our hotel and have dinner.  Then a Folk Slovak band will present local mountain songs and dances.

Sunday, July 18

Bratislava, Slovakia

After breakfast we depart Trstena for Bratislava, the capital of the Slovak Republic.  We will have a professional guided tour of the capital, including the old town Bratislava, St. Martin’s Cathedral, and the Primacial Palace.  You will have some time to explore Bratislava on your own and dinner is included this evening at the hotel.

 Monday, July 19

Vienna, Austria

After breakfast we will enjoy a short drive to Vienna or “Wien”, as it is known internationally, and the capital of the Republic of Austria.  We will have a sightseeing tour, via motor coach, with a local guide including the famous “Ringstrasse” with many monuments like the Opera House, Parliament Building, the University, Hofburg (Treasury, holding the imperial jewels of the Habsburg dynasty) and the Municipal Park with the statue of Johann Strauss - the Waltz king!  Our walking tour will include the old streets of Vienna, visit to “Stephan Dom”, the seat of the archbishop of Austria, and visit the winter residence of the Habsburg family.  After lunch on your own, this afternoon we will have a lovely walk in Schoenbrunns gardens up to the Gloriette with a nice view of the city of Vienna.  We enjoy a special dinner in Grinzing at a typical wine tavern with music.

Tuesday, July 20

Prague, Czech Republic

After breakfast we depart for Prague with a stop in Czech Budweis, the capital of south Bohemia and home of the famous Czech Budweiser beer.  You will have a visit to the old town where you can do some shopping and enjoy lunch on your own.  We arrive in Prague this afternoon, check into our hotel and  this evening we’ll enjoy our Farewell Dinner Cruise on the Vltava river.

Wednesday, July 21

Home

After breakfast we depart for the Airport of Prague and our flight home.

The vacation price is based on US dollars, not Euro's, and is guaranteed.

A valid passport is required for this trip and it must be valid for six months after the return date of July 10, 2010.

44 - 31 days prior to departure: 50% of tour cost

30 - 15 days prior to departure:75% of tour cost

14 days or less: no refund
