Tuesday, June 24
Depart Minneapolis
Early this afternoon meet your New Ulm
Travel Fun Director at the St. Paul/Minneapolis Airport to
check-in for your flight to Chicago where you will board your
Lufthansa Airlines flight to Rome.

Wednesday, June 25
Rome
We arrive in Rome today and are met
by our International Vacation Director and are transferred to
the Aran Park Hotel. We have time to relax and freshen up before
Mass this evening at Santa Giovanna Antida Thouret, which is
within walking distance of our hotel. Following Mass we will
enjoy a Get-Acquainted Dinner at a restaurant near our hotel
with the rest of the evening is at leisure.
Dinner is included.
Thursday, June 26
Rome
Today we have a tour of the Vatican
Museums, including the Map Room and the Sistine Chapel. Mass
with Archbishop Nienstedt will be celebrated at noon followed by
an included luncheon at a local restaurant near the Vatican. The
day is free for you to enjoy Rome as you wish.
Breakfast and lunch are included.
Friday, June 27
Rome
After breakfast this morning we will have a
full morning visiting the three out of the four Basilicas in
Rome: St. Mary Major, St. John Lateran, which is the Cathedral
of the Holy Father, and St. Paul’s Outside the Walls, where
Archbishop Nienstedt will celebrate Mass. Following an included
lunch this afternoon is free to explore the city on your own.

Saturday, June 28
Rome
This morning we depart early for Mass with
at St. Peter’s with Archbishop Nienstedt. Following Mass we will
return to the hotel for breakfast. Today is free for those
wishing to explore the “Eternal City” on their own or for those
interested in going to Assisi.Reservations for the Assisi day
trip must be made and paid for in advance with the final payment

Sunday, June 29
Rome
Today is the highlight of our Pilgrimage.
At the Papal Mass, Archbishop John C. Nienstedt will be bestowed
with the Pallium, a stole woven from the wool of two lambs that
have been blessed by the Holy Father. Previously, Pope Benedict
XVI blessed the Palliums before placing them in a 350-year-old
silver chest overnight under the main altar at St. Peter’s
Basilica. Today is the only time the archbishops will wear the
Palliums together. Once bestowed, liturgical rules require that
the Pallium be worn only in the metropolitans own see and then
only during solemn liturgies like ordinations. This afternoon we
will greet Archbishop Nienstedt at a reception hosted at the
Pontifical North American College. Following the reception the
rest of the day is at leisure.

Monday, June 30
Ulm
This morning after breakfast we are
transferred to the Leonardo da Vinci - Airport for our flight to
Munich, Germany. Upon arrival we will meet our waiting motor
coach for our trip to Ulm, Germany. After we check-in to our
hotel Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church
which is adjacent to the hotel followed by an included dinner.
Breakfast and dinner are included.
Tuesday, July 1
Ulm
This morning after breakfast we will walk
to St. George’s Catholic Church for Mass. We will then have a
walking tour of Ulm including the Ulm Cathedral, Rathaus (City
Hall) and Fisherman’s Quarter. We will also be greeted by city
and church officials from Ulm and Neu Ulm. This afternoon is
free for you to explore Ulm on your own.
Breakfast is included.
Wednesday, July 2
Ulm
Today we travel south in Bavaria to the
village of Steinhausen, home to St. Peter and Paul’s Catholic
Church, “The most beautiful village church in the world.” We
have a guided tour of the church followed by Mass with
Archbishop Nienstedt as celebrant. We continue to Bad
Schussenried where we will have lunch on your own at the
Schussenrieder Brewery followed by a guided tour of the
Schussenrieder Brewery Museum. We return to Ulm in the late
afternoon.

Thursday, July 3
Munich
We depart Ulm this morning, stopping at
Lake Ammersee for a boat ride to the famous Monastery Andechs.
Here we will have a tour of the Monastery followed by Mass with
Archbishop Nienstedt. We’ll then depart for Munich for some
sightseeing. We arrive at the Kempinski Hotel Airport in Munich
late in the afternoon and this evening enjoy our Farewell
Dinner.

This morning we check-in with Lufthansa
Airlines for our flight back to the United States.

Fun reserves the right to amend the price if necessitated by

Valid
passport must be valid six months after returning from this
vacation.
Cancellation Policy:
If cancellation notice is received, in writing, by the following
days, the appropriate penalty will apply:
February 25* - April 25
40% of the trip price
April 26 - May 24
80% of the trip price
May 25 or later
100% of the trip price
*Because of the special nature of this
trip the airline tickets must be issued by February 25. Once the
tickets are issued the air fare is non-refundable. Space is
limited and we suggest making your reservation early.
Travel Insurance:
New Ulm Travel Fun highly recommends
trip cancellation and interruption insurance protection on this
Pilgrimage trip. Although there is an additional cost that comes
with travel insurance, the main reason to purchase travel
insurance is to protect your pilgrimage dollars is in the event
of an incident, such as illness, accident, or death in the
family that would prohibit you from traveling.

medical condition there is a special insurance plan that waives
