Saturday, September 18

Oakland, California

Today we depart Minneapolis for our flight to Oakland. Upon arrival we will check into our hotel located at Jack London Square.  The balance of this day is at leisure.

 

Sunday, September 19

Rohnert Park, California

After lunch on your own, we will board our private motor coach and drive north over the San Francisco Bay on the Richmond & San Rafael Bridge to our hotel in Rohnert Park, located just south of Santa Rosa.  Tonight we enjoy a Get Acquainted Dinner at our hotel.  
Dinner is included.

 

Monday, September 20

Rohnert Park, California

Today we drive through the scenic Valley of the Moon for a morning tour of an Olive Oil Factory.  Then it’s on to Sonoma and Viansa Winery for a Tuscan food & wine luncheon with a winery tour.  We’ll stop in historic Sonoma for free time to explore the Mission, barracks, & the Sonoma Jack cheese shop.  This afternoon we’ll visit a top local winery for a special tour and tasting.  We return to our hotel for an evening at leisure.

Tuesday, September 21

Rohnert Park, California

After breakfast, we drive west to the Pacific coast  at quaint Bodega Bay (location for Alfred Hitchcock’s film “The Birds”).  We continue on Highway # 1 along the scenic coastline to Jenner, then inland following the Russian River to the giant Sequoia trees.  We stop at the Armstrong Redwood’s State Park and enjoy a walking tour and some free time.  Next is a visit to a champagne winery for a tour, tasting and included lunch.  This evening is free.

Wednesday, September 22

Rohnert Park, California

Today we have a day trip to the world famous Napa Valley Wine Country.  We board the Napa Valley Wine Train and ride the rails through the scenic Napa Valley vineyards and enjoy a 3 course gourmet lunch.  This afternoon we enjoy a tour and tasting at a fine local winery.  Then  we’ll watch a food preparation demonstration, sample wines, view art and visit the gift shop.  

Breakfast and lunch are included. 

 

Thursday, September 23

Rohnert Park, California

After breakfast, we’ll have a morning tour of the Luther Burbank Home and Gardens in Santa Rosa.  Burbank was a world famous horticulturalist and gardener.  We then drive up Highway #101 through the Russian River Wine Valley to historic Healdsburg for shopping and lunch on your own.  We continue to another famous winery for another special wine tasting.  We return to Santa Rosa to tour the Charles Schultz Museum, dedicated to the beloved “Peanuts” cartoonist.  We return to our hotel and have time to relax before our Farewell Dinner at a fine local restaurant.

Friday, September 24

Home

We check out of our hotel and drive south across the Golden Gate Bridge, through San Francisco to Woodside.  We’ll enjoy a tour of the elegant FILOLI Mansion and Gardens.  FILOLI stands for “Flight, Love & Live” and was the home of multi-millionaire gold baron William Bourne.  Lunch will be on your own at a local restaurant.  We then depart for the San Jose airport for our afternoon flight home.

Cancellation Policy: If cancellation notice is received, in writing, by the following days, the aappropriate penalty will apply:

59 - 45 days prior to departure:$100 Processing Fee

44 - 31 days prior to departure:50% of tour cost

30 - 15 days prior to departure:75% of tour cost

14 days or less:no refund
