We depart Minneapolis today
on our flight to Los Angeles, where
we are met by our local hosts. After
checking
into our
hotel,
we’ll enjoy a Get Acquainted Dinner.
It’s just a short drive to Dr. Robert Schuller’s Crystal
Cathedral
where we’ll see the ‘Glory of Christmas’ pageant before
returning
to our hotel.
Dinner is included.
Friday, December 31
Long Beach, California
After breakfast
we
tour the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, with
an included lunch. This afternoon it’s “Lights, Camera, Los
Angeles”, with a guided city tour of Los Angeles. This
evening
welcome in 2011
at our New Year’s Eve
Party,
with dancing, party favors and casino fun.
Breakfast,
lunch and dinner are included.
Saturday, January 1, 2011
Long Beach, California
This morning
we get an early
start
with Breakfast to
Go
and
drive
to Pasadena. We take our reserved seats for the 122th
Tournament of Roses Parade, including a souvenir seat cushion!
Magnificently decorated floats, celebrity
appearances, great marching bands from all over the country and
colorful riders on horses make up this well-known
event. Following the parade we
enjoy a
sumptuous
brunch.
The rest of New Year’s afternoon and evening is
at leisure.
Boxed breakfast and
champagne brunch
are included.
Sunday, January 2
Long Beach, California
Today we
return to Pasadena to view the floats on display along Sierra
Madre Boulevard. You’ll enjoy the fragrance of the blossoms and
observe how various live plants are incorporated to create the
many
floats.
This
afternoon we
visit the Getty Center Museum and Gardens. This evening we will
have a Farewell Luncheon at Lawry’s Prime Rib Restaurant.
Breakfast and lunch are included.
Monday, January 3
Home
We depart for the airport and our return flight home with truly
great memories of
the Rose Bowl
Parade and California sunshine.
Breakfast is included.
